In 2024, Domaine Chanson is showcasing its great Burgundy terroirs more than ever before. Demonstrating its high-precision expertise, evolving its visual identity and redesigning its labels, the estate, owned by the Bollinger family group, is writing a new chapter in its rare, centuries-old heritage with a modern twist.
A Modernized Visual Identity Reflecting Chanson’s Parcel-Based Approach
To embody this new momentum, Domaine Chanson unveils in 2024 a renewed visual signature. The contours of its historic crest have evolved, embracing a harmonious simplicity. Supported by an elegant and refined bespoke typeface, the new logo perfectly expresses the spirit of the Domaine: authenticity, precision, and modernity.
Furthermore, since January 2024, Chanson bottles have been adorned with entirely new labels — minimalist in design yet rich in detail. Their purpose is clear: to shine a brighter light on the terroirs and the specific characteristics of each wine, serving as a faithful reflection of the Domaine’s meticulous, parcel-by-parcel approach. In this way, the Domaine steps back to let its cherished climats take center stage, revealing their distinct features — plot size, soil type, exposure, and aging duration. The result is a transparent expression of artisanal craftsmanship, as close as possible to the true essence of each terroir.
A Duo of Talents Safeguarding the Chanson Style: Complexity, Balance, and Elegance

At Chanson, two individuals lead the Domaine toward excellence, blending tradition and innovation. Together, they craft wines that are beautifully balanced—approachable in their youth while offering remarkable aging potential.
In this pursuit, Justine Savoye, Vineyard Manager, is reinventing the Domaine’s viticulture, parcel by parcel, placing soil preservation and biodiversity at the heart of her priorities.
The first milestone on this journey of excellence will be achieved with organic certification for the Côte de Beaune parcels starting with the 2024 harvest, followed by certification of the Côte Chalonnaise vineyards by 2028.
Lucy Auger, Cellar Master, complements this duo by refining the processes of vinification and ageing, exploring innovative approaches to express the unique character of each terroir.
“Every day, our team is committed to respecting the DNA of Domaine Chanson. But nothing is ever set in stone. It’s by experimenting and daring that we continue to move forward.”
— Thierry Berger, Managing Director
The Specialist of Burgundy’s Great Terroirs Since 1750
As one of Burgundy’s oldest Domaines, rooted in the heart of Beaune, Chanson has continuously reinvented itself over the centuries.
Its vineyard is what truly sets it apart: 43 hectares farmed organically in the Côte de Beaune, including the iconic Monopole Clos des Fèves, Beaune Premier Cru, and 45 hectares acquired in 2023 in the Côte Chalonnaise, featuring Clos l’Évêque in Mercurey.
To capture with the utmost precision every nuance of its mosaic of terroirs, Domaine Chanson combines meticulous, sustainable viticulture, parcel-by-parcel vinification for each climat, and careful maturation within the serene walls of the Bastion de Beaune — a remarkable 15th-century above-ground cellar.
