Since his arrival in September 2025, Thierry Berger has infused a new dynamic into the Domaine. Together with Lucy Auger and Justine Savoye, he guides the evolution of our signature style.

Thierry Berger
With solid expertise in strategy, marketing, and management, Thierry Berger brings his experience to bear on development and innovation. With his sense of teamwork and high standards, he joins Domaine Chanson with the conviction that he can raise the quality of our wines even higher by surrounding himself with a united team, innovating with respect for the past, and giving even more space to viticulture.

Head of the Cellar
Lucy Auger
Originally from the Ain region, Lucy discovered the world of wine in Burgundy, first earning a degree in Vine Sciences, then a Master’s in Vine, Wine, and Terroir in Dijon. There, she devoted herself to the study of soils and climatology. When Vincent Avenel handed her the keys to the cellar in 2020, she took the time to study our wines in depth, identifying the facets to be refined, and began exploring new approaches to reveal our terroirs with even greater precision.
Head of the Vineyard
Justine Savoye
An agronomist and graduate in oenology, Justine has dedicated her expertise to viticulture that respects nature, the identity of terroirs, and the well-being of her teams. Joining Domaine Chanson in 2016, she was entrusted three years later by Vincent Avenel with the leadership of our vineyard. Like Lucy, she undertook in-depth work on vineyard management and successfully led the organic conversion of our Côte de Beaune holdings.

Since Domaine Chanson was acquired in 1999, the Bollinger Group has nurtured this family spirit, at a human scale. At the time, Philippe Marion-Chanson had already recognized in Christian Bizot the same philosophy and the sincere wish to preserve the unique soul of our Domaine.
To move forward, wine too must be nourished by dialogue: a true “Chanson Style Committee” brings together several members of our team, from varied backgrounds (management, vineyard, cellar, sales). During tastings, each person’s sensitivity is freely expressed. In this way, our Domaine progresses not only by listening to its terroirs, but also to its people.
