For our Domaine, everything begins in the vines. They are what set us apart. A specialist in Burgundy’s great terroirs since 1750, we strive to preserve and enrich this precious heritage, as shown by our latest acquisitions in the Côte Chalonnaise in 2023…
Our vineyard
A Mosaic of Burgundy “Climats”
Our wines are born here, in our 88-hectare vineyard, 43 of which are nestled in the Côte de Beaune, the historic cradle of the Beaune Premier Cru appellation. Our vines, with an average age of 40 years, flourish in some of Burgundy’s most prestigious villages: Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet, Corton, Puligny-Montrachet, Santenay, Savigny-lès-Beaune and Pernand-Vergelesses.
The year 2023 marked the beginning of a new era. The acquisition of 45 hectares in the Côte Chalonnaise has further strengthened our Burgundian roots, which lie at the very heart of our identity as winegrowers. Primarily located in the renowned terroirs of Mercurey and Rully, these parcels illustrate our commitment to continuously perfecting the quality of our grapes.
THE VINEYARD
Through these new vineyards, Domaine Chanson is writing, with modernity, the next chapter of a rare, centuries-old story.

2024, conversion of the vineyard to organic farming
But we wanted to go further: in 2021, we began converting our vineyard to organic farming. After several years of patient and meticulous work, 2024 saw the birth of our very first certified vintage. It is therefore only natural that our team is now applying this same vision to our newly acquired vineyards in the Côte Chalonnaise, beginning their conversion as of 2024.

Three Grapes at the Root of Our Great Wines
Across two-thirds of our planted area, both in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, it is the elegant Pinot Noir—Burgundy’s emblematic grape—that reveals the countless nuances of our soils. The delicate Chardonnay, for its part, expresses this diversity through our great white Burgundies. Finally, Aligoté, our third grape variety, produces lively, fresh, citrus-driven wines, perfect for enjoying young.
More than an obvious choice, caring for our “climats” has become second nature at Domaine Chanson.
