Terroir
Located on the hillsides in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, the Rully vineyard offers terroirs that are particularly conducive to the expression of Pinot Noir. Among the climats are those of Chatalienne and Fromanges, covering a total area of 3 hectares. This new acquisition has been undergoing conversion to organic farming since 2024.
Vintage report
In 2024, a mild winter and a contrasting spring favored early bud break, despite a few episodes of frost. Spring and summer, marked by thunderstorms, heavy rains, and reduced sunshine, maintained high sanitary pressure. Despite these uncertainties, the vines were able to adapt and produce grapes that were sometimes uneven in ripeness but generally balanced. At Domaine Chanson, the harvest began on Wednesday, September 11 and ended on Saturday, September 21. It was a demanding and contrasting vintage, marked by significant climatic hazards, which required a great deal of work and skill on the part of the technical teams.
